Two of the most commonly found Vision Problems in individuals and nearsightedness and farsightedness. Though we keep hearing these terms on a very frequent basis, there isn’t much of clarity on what these vision problems are and what can be done to correct them.
Nearsightedness is a condition called myopia, in medical parlance. This happens when the light rays fall in front of the retina than falling directly on the retina. Therefore, objects that are help up close to the eye are easily seen whereas distant objects seem to be a problem.
Farsightedness is just the reverse of this. As the light falls beyond the retinal region, far away objects get spotted easily while those that are held close to the eye surface appear blurred. These kinds of vision problems can be easily corrected with the help of spectacles. If that does not seem to work, you can always think of surgery at a later date.
